Two ways to start

Pick the path that fits you today

I have a truck

You lease your equipment to Trucksmile, run under our MC, and earn a percentage of every load.

I don't have a truck

Rent one starting around $800/week through our partners and start without buying equipment.

What's included

Everything a car hauler needs to stay loaded and paid

You drive. We handle the rest: finding loads, negotiating rates, planning routes and dealing with paperwork, so your truck spends less time empty and more time earning.

Load search and rate negotiation

We work the leading car hauling platforms in the U.S. market for you, negotiating every rate with brokers so you never leave money on the table.

Route planning, less deadhead

Your dispatcher builds your week around your home base and preferred lanes, chaining pickups and deliveries to cut empty miles between loads.

Paperwork and invoicing

Rate confirmations, BOLs, invoicing and follow-up with brokers, handled by our team so nothing delays your payment.

Broker support and problem solving

Damaged unit at pickup? Broker not answering? We step in and resolve it while you keep moving.

TrucksmileApp in real time

Loads, payments and performance reports in your pocket. You know what you're hauling, what you'll earn and when it hits your account.

24/7 road support in 3 languages

English, Portuguese and Spanish, around the clock. Whatever happens on the road, someone who speaks your language picks up.

How you get paid

You earn a percentage of every load you haul under our MC authority.

Percentage per load, disclosed before you accept it
No sign-up fee
No long-term commitment. You stay because it works, not because you're locked in
Equipment we dispatch

From hotshot to enclosed, we keep it loaded

Every setup has its own market. Your dispatcher knows which loads pay best for your equipment and builds your week around it.

3-CAR HOTSHOT / GOOSENECK

The fastest way into car hauling

A pickup and a 3-car gooseneck trailer, no CDL required in most setups. Lower cost of entry, agile on short and regional lanes, and steady demand from dealers and auctions. Ideal for owner operators starting out.

6-CAR

The regional workhorse

More units per trip without stepping up to a Class 8 operation. Strong economics on auction and dealer-network lanes where volume is consistent week after week.

7–9 CAR

Maximum revenue per mile

High-capacity stinger and quick-deck rigs for long lanes and OEM volume. We keep the deck full so the revenue per mile justifies the equipment.

ENCLOSED

Premium freight, premium rates

Exotics, classics and dealer transfers that demand protection and pay for it. We source enclosed loads that match the care your operation delivers.

Payments

The market pays you once a week. We pay you twice.

Cash flow is what keeps an owner operator alive. That's why faster pay is our number one commitment.

Industry standard
1x / week

One payday. One shot at covering fuel, tolls and surprises until the next one.

Trucksmile
2x / week

Two paydays every week, plus receivables advance when you need cash before the load settles.

What you need to start

Active MC/DOT

We work with drivers who already have their own operating authority. If yours is in progress, talk to us: we'll follow your case and let you know as soon as it clears.

Insurance

$1M liability and cargo coverage appropriate for the vehicles you haul.

No equipment? No problem

Rent a truck for ~US$800/week through our partners and start without buying anything.

FAQ

Car hauling dispatch, answered

How much does a car hauling dispatcher charge?+

Trucksmile charges a percentage per load, with no sign-up fee and no exclusivity contract. The rate is disclosed before you accept each load.

Do I need a CDL to haul cars?+

Not necessarily. A 3-car hotshot setup (pickup + gooseneck trailer) can operate under 26,000 lbs GVWR without a CDL in most configurations. Larger rigs (6 to 9-car) do require one. We'll help you confirm what applies to your setup.

How fast do I get paid?+

Twice a week, while most of the market pays once. If you need cash before a load settles, we also offer receivables advance.

What load boards do you use?+

the leading car hauling platforms in the U.S. market, plus direct broker relationships built over years of daily negotiation.

Do I need my own truck and trailer?+

No. Through our partners you can rent a truck for around US$800/week and a trailer from US$200–300/week depending on size, and start hauling without buying equipment.

What insurance do I need?+

Typically $1M auto liability plus cargo coverage sized for the vehicles you haul. Our team reviews your policy before your first load.

Is there a contract or sign-up fee?+

No sign-up fee and no exclusivity. You earn a percentage per load, disclosed before you accept it.

Do you work with new car haulers?+

Yes. Many of our drivers started with zero car hauling experience. Your dispatcher walks you through your first loads, and rented equipment lowers the barrier to entry.

What routes and regions do you cover?+

Coast to coast across the lower 48. Your dispatcher builds lanes around your home base and how often you want to be home.

How do I apply?+

Fill out the application form, our team reviews your profile and calls you to explain the next steps. Most drivers get their first load within days of onboarding.
